Your privacy matters. This page explains exactly what data mini-tools.dev collects (spoiler: almost none), how the site works technically, and what you can expect from us regarding your information.
All processing happens in your browser
Every tool on mini-tools.dev runs entirely client-side. When you paste text into the JSON formatter, upload an image to the Base64 encoder, or type a string into the hash generator, that data is processed locally by JavaScript running in your own browser. Your input never leaves your device. It is not sent to any server, not logged, and not stored anywhere outside your own browser's memory.
This is not a marketing claim — it is a technical reality. There are no API endpoints that receive your tool inputs. The server only serves static HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files. After those files load, all computation happens on your machine.
No data collection
mini-tools.dev does not collect personally identifiable information. We do not ask for your name, email address, location, or any other identifying details. There is no user database, no account system, and no way to associate any action on this site with a specific person.
Cookies and local storage
mini-tools.dev uses localStorage in your browser for one purpose only: remembering your dark mode preference. This is a single key (theme) stored locally on your device. It is not a cookie, it is not sent to any server, and it is not shared with anyone. You can clear it at any time through your browser's developer tools or storage settings.
We do not set any tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or session cookies.
Analytics
This site does not use any analytics tool that tracks individual users, sessions, or browsing behavior. We do not use Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Hotjar, or any other user-level tracking service.
No account creation required
You do not need an account to use any tool on this site. There is no sign-up flow, no login, and no mechanism for us to identify returning users. Every visit is effectively anonymous.
No third-party data sharing
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your data with any third party for any purpose. Because we collect essentially no data in the first place, there is nothing to share.

mini-tools.dev displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other sites on the web. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
